It’s not common to find someone with a project management background - detail-oriented, meticulous to the core - who then, at the flip of a switch, can bring a compassionate perspective to the table. Wrap this all up with a legal background, and you’ve got Colleen Contreras.
Before embarking on her legal career, Colleen ran a consulting practice aimed at providing project management services to philanthropic foundations. She later worked closely with children with a range of disabilities, providing an invaluable perspective on the day-to-day struggles of this particular population. A graduate of the University of Phoenix (Bachelor of Science, Business Administration), a Juris Doctor degree from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law, a certified Project Management Professional, and a Certificate in Law, Science, and Technology with a focus in Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Colleen’s career evolved into the law because she believed a change in the system was not only possible but necessary. Families need support during life’s tough transitions from someone who gets it like Colleen.
Colleen is completing her LLM in Dispute Resolution at ASU School of Law with an emphasis on Domestic Violence.
Colleen brings a big heart, the precision of a project management professional, and the legal acumen of a lawyer to her clients each and every day. Plus, it all arrives with a contagious smile!

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Bryan brings an active spirit to the firm, no doubt due to his active past in martial arts, football, wrestling, and soccer. It’s hard to imagine one person excelling in so many sports, but after meeting Bryan, you’d expect he did.
Bryan holds a Bachelor of Science from Ohio Dominican University and nearly completed his MBA (with a Finance and Accounting concentration). While in school Bryan was an active volunteer at various mission shelters and later moved to Arizona where he completed his JD at Arizona Summit Law School.
Bryan possesses a Mediation and Advocacy Certificate and advanced training from the Post-Conviction Relief Clinic. Before Contreras Family Law, Bryan worked for nearly three years at Martinet Law. There he engaged in filing conservatorships, participated in prison visits and client intake assessments, assisted lead counsel on everything from tenant disputes to bankruptcy, divorce, sexual assault, and personal injury cases, and drafted a wide range of pleadings and motions.
Bryan is an integral member of the Contreras Family Law and leverages his knowledge of finance and accounting to round out the practice.

To have a legal assistant as well-rounded as Grace is a gift. A senior at Arizona State University, Grace is pursuing a Bachelor in Business Management and coupling that with a minor in Spanish and Economics. Grace knows that the best way to become fluent in any language is through immersion, so she will be spending 9 months in Spain abroad on her next great adventure.
Grace was always interested in business with business-minded parents, but the law has been a passion that she has developed in school. When she finds a passion, she sticks with it, and Contreras Family Law and our clients are fortunate to have someone as committed and good-natured as Grace on the team.
Allie has been an important asset to the Contreras Family Law team. A senior at Arizona State University, Allie is finishing her dual major in Neuroscience and Psychology. Along with working with our team, she is a research assistant for two labs, the Memory and Attention Control Lab and Arizona Twin Project.
She was awarded a fellowship with Banner Health and ASU Bio Design, neuroscience scholars, in which she completed a research project and presented to leading professionals in her field. Contreras Family Law is fortunate to have such a well-rounded individual like Allie on our team.
